Does your eyes strain after hours of work in PC???

Does your eyes strain after hours of work in your computer???.Then you may suffer from Computer VisionSyndrome.
Computer Vision Syndrome is a complex of eye and vision during and related to computer use.It appears to be growing rapidly. Some studies estimate that 90 percent of the 70 million US workers using computers formore than three hours per day experience CVS in some form.
Typical symptoms of CVS are eye-strain,headache,slow focussing, tired and burning eyes, neck and shoulder pain and blurred vision at distance.Computer users have a reduced eye-blinking rate while using computers. So they are at a major risk of developing transient or short-term dry eyes.Over a period of time, excessive computer use can have cumulative negative effects on the user, including the worsening of farsightedness,nearsightedness,astigmatism,eye-focussing and poor eye coordination.
Some prescribtions for CVS are
*Increase your blink rate.
*Gaze away from the monitor every 15 minutes.
*Use a large(but not over 48cm),high quality monitor or increase the font size. The comfortable refresh rate is70Hz.
*Improve posture.
*Improve chair.Lower lumbar support which supports your hips will cut down the strain by about half.
