INEXPERIENCE HURTS ARSENAL

After Arsenal's failure against Manchester United yesterday,die-hard gooners looks disappointed as the only hope of winning the championship is no more in the hands of Gunners.Arsenal started the season very well without Thierry Henry and also carried their form in champions league.Everything were going right for them until this February and rest of the matches were not going on their way as they liked it to be and the worst thing is that they have added only eight points in their last eight league matches. There is no doubt that Arsene Wenger's side is continuing their attractive and attacking football but their defence had shown some flaws in recent times.Arsenal started off very well in many matches like the one against Liverpool in Anfield last week by taking early leads, but they failed to keep the pressure through out the match.
There were also quite lot of injury worries to Gunners this season making the bench strength little weak.Eduardo's injury was really a great set back at a critical point of the season who scored some fabulous goals including a overhead kick against Manchester City probably the best goal of the season.Little Cesc Fabregas was amazing all through this season and Flamini gave him a great support in the midfield.Adebayor filled the place of Henry very well. Both the LBs Clichy and Sagna did their job well.Theo Walcott showed his dribbling talents with many goal assists.
Everything looks fine for Arsenal but the lack of experience among their players hurts the team performance.I agree with Wenger's policy of young legs winning combination but it would be more good with some experience added. One can never forget that it was the experienced Arsenal team with Viera,Henry,Bergkamp,Pires,Ljunberg which won the 2003-04 league championship without losing a single match which earned them a nickname "The Invincibles",also the team had the record of being unbeaten in 49 matches on that season. So Arsene Wenger should atleast sign two experienced players for this summer transfer window to regain his supremacy and win the title in coming seasons.Wenger told the official club website that he would opt for only one experienced player in any one department and build the present young team. Not a bad decision but one more experienced player will be a better option.
